Birthday with Bebel
its august 30. bday. or as some indians say it, "my happy birthday". haven't known a year where that phrase hasn't been more wrong.
this birthday is raking up too many bad memories, i just want to avoid picking up my phone and move on. unfortunately...i'm too fucking nice to think about myself and do that :) thats my eternal problem...too...fucking...nice.
luckily i have some great music to help me get through the day.
Bebel Gilberto's Winter (Nuspirit Helsinki Mix) video
watch it here: http://www.opika.easynet.be/video/Bebel_Winter.mov
then theres another cool mix on the Six Feet Under Vol 2. Soundtrack. Its called Aganju and its sweet, sultry and very addictive. I love her voice, it makes me fall in love with her :)

you can listen to Aganju there for free right now.
I plan to watch some movie this week, especially The Constant Gardener which promises to be less Eurocentric and more "new age" than John Le Carre's novel on which it is based. I have high hopes for this movie cause its directed by the guy who did City of God, which is one of my all time favorite movies. This one should be a lot of fun.
My favorite film of the year so far: Me and you and everyone we know.
September can't come fast enough.

Hope you had a nice day nevertheless.
City Of God was awesome. Kids wielding guns and shooting at will! One particular scene I will never forget ... when the gangster makes one kid shoot the other in the foot.
One of my faves too.
i did end up having a nice day, got better as the day went on :)
my favorite scene in city of god was the discotheque scene when benny dies. The lighting and the impact of that scene was awesome.
The track from six feet under is goood...sultry! No wonder you're falling in love with her:)
